Candela

Candela is sold by Livoni Software (CVR DK43002546), Denmark. Payment goes through Link, Stripe's checkout, which handles the payment, VAT and receipt on our behalf. Link's terms apply to the payment.

What you get

A license key, paid once, that keeps Candela working after the 14-day trial.

  • It works for every version with the same major version number as the license, and earlier versions. A future major version may need a new license.
  • It's for one person, on all the Macs they use, at home and at work. Please don't share your key with others.

Trial

You can use Candela for 14 days without a license, so you can check it works with your displays before you buy.

Delivery and right of withdrawal

You get the license key right after payment, on the confirmation page and by email. Before you pay, you agree that the key is delivered right away and that you then can't cancel the purchase under the 14-day right of withdrawal. The email with the key confirms this.

Refunds

Use the 14-day trial to check that Candela works with your displays before you buy. If your key doesn't work, or Candela doesn't work as described, write to candela@livoni.software from the email address you bought with. This doesn't limit your rights under consumer law.

The software

Candela's source code is licensed under GPL-3.0. These terms cover the license key and the official builds; they don't limit your rights under the GPL.

Candela is provided as it is. It changes your displays' brightness and how they describe themselves to macOS (their EDID). Turning off Run in background gives them their original description back. Livoni Software isn't liable for more than the price you paid, except where the law says otherwise.

Law

Danish law applies.
